Arguing that death is bad at the 8th International Conference on Philosophy and Meaning in Life, University of Oklahoma, 2026.
In my research, I am interested in the end of things. I want to understand what it is for something to conclude, and what the axiological implications of its concluding are. In epistemology, I want to know when we can responsibly end our inquiries to form rational beliefs. In value theory, I want to know whether the fact that life ends affects its meaningfulness. In aesthetics, I want to explore the underappreciated fact that videogames, unlike other forms of art, do not have a clear end.
In my dissertation, On Aiming in Epistemology, I explore different ways in which the notion of belief having an aim can shed light on its rationality requirements.
I am passionate about most philosophical topics, and happy to chat about these and other questions!
